Our History
The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club was founded in 1970 by 15 women who wanted to work together for a charitable cause. Their main focus was to hold social events and fundraisers for the benefit of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine.
Over the following decades, the town of Ponte Vedra saw much growth and development. Many new families moved into the area and the Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club became a popular group to meet new friends that were dedicated to worthy causes. Membership continues to evolve and so have the charities in St. Johns and Duval Counties.
Charitable Donations
All of the funds we raise go to various LOCAL charities (St. John's County and the Beaches) and to scholarships in St. John's & the Beaches public schools. They are awarded at the end of the fiscal year in May.
If you are a non-profit organization interested in benefiting from our fundraising, you may contact charity@pontevedrawomansclub.com. The deadline for applications is March 1st every OTHER year (2024, 2026, etc.).
