Hi!

I hope you enjoyed the short work week.

Mine felt looong somehow.

I spent some time in the chair.

(not on the couch, though some people might think I should, lol!)

I realized that what I need is a superstar hair stylist.

Any recommendations?

Our Club members always seem to know the right people for whatever you need.

Did you get some raffle tickets yet?

Time is running out to sell them. I really hope that all of our members can find a way to buy, or sell, $100 worth of raffle tickets each.

That would mean so many thousands of dollars raised for our charities! And this gorgeous bracelet from Underwoods is a fantastic prize.

If you haven't renewed your membership yet, time is running out! If you don't renew by the end of September, you won't get any more Club updates after that!

If you haven't yet renewed your PVWC membership, it's not too late! You have three options: Go online to www.pontevedrawomansclub.com. Login (below the yellow hibiscus, the login link may be on the right) using the e-mail address where you received this message. Use your existing password, or if you haven't set one yet, use password PVWC2018 (you'll be asked to set a new password). Look just below the big yellow hibiscus picture and click on 'Your Profile.' If you see 'renew membership' then your membership is lapsed. Click it to renew and follow the instructions. Bring a cheque for $60.00 to your next PVWC event and give it to Sharon Jones, or someone at the door. Mail your cheque to: PVWC Membership, PO Box 957, Ponte Vedra Beach FL, 32004.

Even if you will miss one or two, any unused funds will go into our charitable donations, so it's all for a good cause and it saves you time. Click here to go to the registration page. Once again, Underwood's is generously sponsoring PVWC with their donation of a bracelet that will be raffled off at their event on Thursday, October 4th, exclusively for PVWC Club members and special guests. There is no cost to attend the event but you must RSVP to waysandmeans@pontevedrawomansclub.com or register here. There will be hospitality with a full bar and a trunk show from Lagos. It's never too early to get a head start on your Christmas wish list! A portion of all sales that day will benefit the Club and our charities.

Deadline for Annual Directory Updates Oct 12th
Friday, October 12th is the final deadline to update your profile for the Club annual directory. You can go online to www.pontevedrawomansclub.com and login (use your email and existing password, or PVWC2018 if you haven't set your password yet). Click the 'my profile' link under the big flower, then go to your profile and put in any updates so we have all of your correct information. You can also e-mail changes to membership@pontevedrawomansclub.com.

October General Meeting Oct 22

Monday, October 22nd is our second general meeting of the Club year at Lulu's Waterfront Grill. Check-in at 6:00 for a 6:30 start. Cost is $10 for the meeting and you will order your own meal and drinks from the menu. It is a lovely evening on the patio, and they have heaters in case the weather is cool so we will be cosy! Register online or RSVP to programs@pontevedrawomansclub.com.

Member Potluck Saturday Nov 3rd
All of the members are invited to bring their spouses or partners to make merry and socialize at the member potluck. It's a fun night to get together and have fun. Mark your calendars and get your best potluck dish ready!

Holiday Event Dec 1st
Saturday, December 1st will be the 3rd annual Oh What Fun! Holiday Event at Sawgrass Village. Mark the date on your calendars. It will be 'all hands on deck' to staff the raffle ticket sales tables and other events throughout the day. We are so very fortunate to be the chosen club to work with the mall on this event. We are looking forward to it again this year!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

I'm going to take a day off from unpacking and go to the beach! I hope you do too. I hope you are laying on the beach or by the pool with a cold drink in hand as you are reading this.

Sunday with Ti is the #1 preferred beach read of PVWC members. Or at least it should be.

And if you read this last week, I can now tell you, they DO make digital violins! One of the other kids on the softball team plays violin (or her older sister, or something like that) and her dad told me about them.

If you are lost by the above, and have some FOMO, read this.

Our Club is busy gearing up for our Underwood’s Event and Raffle. Could you help us out just a little? We need you to take $100 worth of raffle tickets and sell collect donations for them. $20 each or 3/$50 is the recommended donation.

There are some rules that say we can't sell them, just accept donations. Similar rules won't let us do it online, either. Because we are a 501C3 organization these tickets are tax deductible.

Please email Nancy Marsh at Waysandmeans@pontevedrawomansclub.com or text her at 517-927-4322 and she will get your tickets to you. You sell your tickets, get the purchaser’s information on the ticket, and bring the money and the information to the September 24th meeting.

Hi!

It looks like this is turning into Mondays with Ti. I'd better start putting it on my calendar to set it up on Fridays!

For how long can I use moving as an excuse?

On the bright side, I found my entire kitchen counter this weekend, for the first time since we arrived.
It was so exciting I took pictures!
And sent them.
To multiple friends.

I also got started on testing out a newly-created recipe that I plan to bring to the Social Kick-off this Thursday at Sharon's house.

Yes, THIS Thursday!

Can you believe that it is here already? I bet Sharon can't believe it either. Don't forget to thank her for opening up her home to us. It allows us to put on this event at NO COST to attendees. If you haven't already, round up all of your non-member friends and bring them to our event where they can learn all about the club. Sharon's address is:

Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club Social Kick-off, August 23rd
The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club is celebrating new and potential members on August 23 (Thursday) from 6:00 until 7:30 pm. The ladies will gather at a member’s home to learn more about the club and the local charities they support. All ladies are welcome. If you are already a member, please bring a friend or friends with you. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. There is no cost to attend this event, but if you are an ongoing member and would like to contribute a bottle of wine, it would be greatly appreciated. The board caters this event themselves with home made goodies! They are not to be missed.
